Background Information
Being the son of the director of Karakura General Hospital, Ishida Uryuu surprised no one by becoming a doctor. Determined to prove himself as a good doctor by his own rights, instead of gaining respect solely by being the son of the director. Over the years at the hospital, he has built quite a reputation for himself, rising to the rank of Head of Surgery.
Although he tends to come across as somewhat neurotic to his colleagues, he is extremely friendly to his patients, occasionally putting their recovery before everything else. He is as proud of being a doctor as he is of being a Quincy, and does his best to be as efficient in surgery as he is on the battlefield.
